WELCOME TO OUR HOME!

You have arrived at the web page of one of the most active EAA chapters in the nation.  Home of the 6 BIG PIETS, the 976 Learning Center with Simulator and Library, and the monthly "no business" meetings that keep the fun and camaraderie rolling. If you'd like to casually meet us, we hold a Potluck Dinner every first Tuesday of the month, 6pm at our hangar at West Georgia Regional Airport. Just show up!  Visitors are also  welcome at our monthly "meetings" such as fly-outs, picnics, boating, train rides, and whatever we find of interest! Check out our 2019 Monthly Planning Calendar for updated listing of meetings, events and trips.

2018 EAA Young Eagles Flights Complete!

We finished the year completing two Young Eagle Rallies, one in May and one in October.  Weather was good enough for both rallies and we flew over 100 kids total for the year.  If you have a child between 8 and 17, we're sorry you missed those rallies, BUT, next year we start again in May. Our Rally events provide kids with a free introductory flight in a private airplane which includes a pre-flight safety brief, a low altitude tour of the area, a log book, a signed certificate, and free online private pilot training materials.  We also have lunch and snacks available, ground tractor-pulled airplane rides for kids under 8, and plenty of airplanes to checkout and learn about.. We have some of the best organized Young Eagles Rallies in the nation.  Our next Young Eagles Ralley is scheduled for Saturday April 13, 2019 at the Carrollton West Georgia Regional Airport.  Contact us at baflyboy2@hotmail.com if you have questions.

Chapter Review of 2018

Last year was a tremendous year for our members, participating in adventures like camping, fly-ins, young eagle rallies, Carroll County Career Day, and fly-outs to interesting places.  The calendar is set for 2019 and is full of more adventures for our members.  Check us out on Facebook to see what is our latest activity.  We are looking for young teens that want to learn to fly and experience all that an aviation career or recreation can offer, so don't hesitate to contact us and see what we offer.
